Announcements and Important Events
Optional conditioning and green day sessions will begin as early as October 12 per the schedule outlined below. Session capacity is limited due to APS covid protocols and all teams will take a progressive approach beginning with conditioning followed by the use of individual equipment and then shared equipment.
Students will need a VHSL physical for the current school year in order to participate in any sessions including equipment. It is highly encouraged students email their physical to email@example.com or mail them to the school – physicals will not be accepted at conditioning sessions.
As part of the APS covid protocols, please note the following:
1) Students and coaches must wear a mask to and from conditioning sessions as well as when not engaged in physical activity.
2) Students and coaches will have their temperature checked upon entry to the facility and will be asked screening questions.
3) Students must bring their own water and will not be allowed to enter without water.
4) Social distancing will be maintained during conditioning sessions.
5) All workouts will occur outside so inclement weather might affect the ability to offer a session. Please make sure to sign up for Team App for your desired sport(s) since same day notifications will be made via Team App messages.
6) Students will be kept in groups of 15 for contact tracing purposes which will limit capacity.

Boys Basketball – Mondays 3:30-5 on outdoor basketball/tennis court and Wednesdays 3:30-5 on the turf – students must preregister by clicking here
Girls Basketball – Tuesdays and Thursdays 5-6:30 pm at the stadium – no pre-registration necessary
Crew – beginning October 19, students interested in the sport can participate in a month of introductory sessions twice a week with session times to be determined based on interest and appropriate groupings. Interested students should fill out intent to participate at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KZZTZDL
Field Hockey – Tuesdays 3:30-5 pm on field 3 (baseball field outfield) and Wednesdays 6:30-8 pm – only 8th-12th graders - students must preregister by contacting Coach Guerrieri in Team App (YHS – Field Hockey) - taking off week of October 26 and resuming November 3
Golf – Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30-5 on field 2 which is grass non-competition softball field – no pre-registration necessary
Gymnastics – beginning October 21, Wednesdays 4-5 pm at the outdoor basketball court – no pre-registration necessary
Football – 10th-12th grade session will run 3:30-4:15 pm Mondays and Thursdays on the turf and 8th and 9th grade sessions will run 4:25-5:15 pm on Mondays and Thursdays
Boys Lacrosse – Tuesdays 6:30-8 pm and Fridays 4-5:30 pm on the turf – all 9th-12th graders welcome – pre-registration is necessary as space is limited – contact Coach Beer through a Team App message (YHS – boys lacrosse) to reserve a spot
Girls Lacrosse – beginning October 19, Mondays 5:30-7 pm and Fridays 5:30-7 pm on the turf – all 8th-12th graders are welcome
Spirit (cheer and dance) – Mondays 3:30-5 pm on field 3 (baseball field outfield), Wednesdays 3:30-5 pm on the turf and Thursdays 3:30-5 pm on field 3 (baseball field outfield) – preregistration is required at Week of October 12 Spirit Program Outdoor Conditioning Form
Swim/Dive – Wednesdays 5-6:30 pm on the turf – pre-registration is required and spots are limited, please contact Coach Ortmayer via Team App on the web or mobile download (YHS – swim/dive)
Track – Tuesdays 3:30-5 pm and Thursdays 5:15-6:45 pm on the track – pre-registration is required as space is limited – please look for information on registering on Team App (YHS – track/cross country)
Volleyball – Tuesdays 5-6:30 pm at the stadium – 9th – 12th graders only – pre-registration is required and space is limited – contact Coach Eldred via Team App on the web or mobile download (YHS – volleyball)
Wrestling – Mondays 5:30-7 pm and Wednesdays 5-6:30 pm on the turf
Rifle, baseball, softball, soccer and tennis will not be holding conditioning sessions prior to December.
