Announcements and Important Events
Most spring sports begin on April 12 with track starting the following Monday on April 19. All students must have a valid VHSL physical on file in the Yorktown student activities office to participate. Physicals can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org
Teams which have tryouts will run tryouts for 2-4 days and students should expect practices or tryouts Monday-Friday with Saturdays in addition for baseball, softball, crew and lacrosse.
The first-day tryout schedule is for Monday, April 12 which is a student holiday. Please note some tryouts are during the day. The first two week’s calendar for the turf field which is subject to change is provided for your planning purposes.
All communication on last minute changes will be done via Team App so please make sure to sign up for the specific sport you are interested in.
Due to COVID, students must:
1) Not report if they are feeling ill or have had contact with someone who tested positive in the last 14 days. Please contact the coach if this applies to you.
2) Bring their own water with enough for the entire practice – no water will be provided.
3) Wear an ear-loop mask throughout all of practice.
4) Answer screening questions and have their temperature checked.
