After opening up with a dominant start to the first set, Yorktown JV was well on their way to victory. Despite the brilliant fight back from Centreville, the Patriots won 25-19. The set was highlighted by Eleanor Verburg's 6 assists. Samantha Williams and Erin McShane led the way on the offensive fronts with 3 kills (42%) and 2 kills (40%) respectively. Williams also tallied 2 blocks. Libero, Cayla Harrison racked up 5 digs with a 2.75 (out of 3) passer rating. Cameron McCleskey added 4 digs on defense with a 2.0 passer rating while Anna DeFalco chipped in with 2 digs.
Moving on to the second set, Yorktown Patriots continued their strong play. Despite a slower start to the set, they came roaring into the game behind 11 straight points (3 of which were aces) off the serve of McCleskey. Williams added another 3 kills (75%) to her total while setter, Verburg added another 4 assists to bring her total to 10 on the game. DeFalco imposed her defensive will on the game and added another 4 digs to her tally while libero, Kate Meredith chipped in 6 of her own with a 3.0 passer rating. On the defensive front, Adrienne Miller led the way with 2 blocks while Annmarie Earley and Samantha Williams tallied one each.
