Torey is from Arlington, VA, where he grew up swimming at Dominion Hills from 2000-2005 and Overlee from 2006-2012. He attended Gonzaga College High School, where he was a three-year varsity water polo player and swimmer--his senior year, Gonzaga won WMPSSDL's and METROS and he achieved First Team All-League, Washington Post All-Met, and NISCA All American honors. Ortmayer went on to attend Occidental College in Los Angeles to play water polo and graduated in 2016. Having initial coaching experience as an assistant at Overlee from 2011-2014, Ortmayer served as the assistant Water Polo and Swim coach at Mayfield Senior School (Pasadena, CA) from 2011-2013 before becoming the head coach of both programs from 2013-2016. At Mayfield, Torey had ten athletes get recruited to compete at the NCAA D-1 lever for water polo and swimming. Torey currently is the assistant water polo coach at Gonzaga.

Amy Kress is entering her third year as Head Dive Coach at Yorktown, and her first year directing the program. Kress is from Falls Church, VA and attended J.E.B. Stuart High School. She attended N.C. State University where she competed from 1990-1994 placing 9th on 3 meter in ACC's, qualified for NCAA Zone Championships and won the team Coaches Award in 1994. She spent 8 seasons as Head Dive Coach at Georgetown University, and has coached AAU and USA junior diving and developed a junior National finalist. Prior to coaching at Yorktown, Kress has coached 22 seasons at Washington Golf & Country Club where she has led the team to 20 consecutive championship titles. During her first two seasons, multiple Yorktown divers qualified for Regionals and States, with two State finalists, one High School All American and another earning High School All America Honorable Mention honors. She is married with three sons.

Drew Smith Mulligan is beginning her third year as an assistant swim coach at Yorktown. She began swimming competitively when she was six and has remained an active swimmer and coach. A graduate of the VCU School of Art, she served as Vice President of the VCU Club Team as well as the senior captain of her high school team at West Potomac. Competing in the Northern Virginia Swim League (NVSL), she was the assistant head coach of her neighborhood team, Waynewood, for five seasons capturing two division championships.

She was stationed in Key West from 2015-2017, and just recently got assigned to the DC area.
