
Margaret Nealon.
JV Assistant Coach
Biography:
Margaret is from Alexandria, Va and was a two-sport athlete at Bishop Ireton in Cross Country and Lacrosse. During her high school years Margaret played Midfield and earned All-WCAC honors in 2011. She was named an Academic All-America as a junior. As a Senior Captain she led Bishop Ireton to a 15-8 record and the finals of the VA State Tournament finising her season with 31 goals and 26 assists. She was an all-conference second team selection and also played for Capital travel club lacrosse. Margaret was recruited to play Division I Womens Lacrosse at Univeristy of Vermont. She was a four-year midfielder who helped the Catamounts make it to the America East Playoffs for three consecutive years landing top-25 National Ranking with a bid for a play-in to the 2014 NCAA Division I Tournament. She graduated from Vermont in 2016 majoring in Public Communications. Margaret began her coaching career at Yorktown last Spring 2017 as the JV Assistant Coach. She is very excited to enter her 2nd season coaching and will be serving as the Varsity Assistant Coach. Outside of lacrosse Maragret's profession is a Digital Media Specialist.

Madi enters her 3rd season with Yorktown and will be the JV Head Coach for Spring 2023. In 2021 & 2022 she served as the JV Asst Coach bringing the JV program to two undefeated seasons! Hailing from Annapolis, Maryland, Madi coins herself as a lifelong player, beginning her lacrosse career at four years old. She now plays in adult leagues throughout the DMV. When she was younger, Madi played attack and midfield for Chesapeake Club Lacrosse (CCLax) and Archbishop Spalding High School. During her time in high school, Madi helped the Cavaliers to the IAAM A quarter- and semi-finals in 2013 and 2014 respectively.
Madi served as the president of the University of South Carolina Women's Lacrosse team, an NCAA Division I Club Lacrosse program in the Southeastern Women's Lacrosse League (SWLL). As president, coach and player, Madi brought her team to three SWLL semi-finals. The Gamecocks had their most winningest season in 2016, finishing 9-3.
Madi now lives in Washington D.C. and works as an education policy and communications consultant for nonprofits, philanthropies and advocacy organizations. She is thrilled that her love for education and teaching can continue on the field.

Ellie Hansen.
Junior Varsity Assistant Coach
Biography:
Ellie Hansen enters her 2nd season with Yorktown's Girls Lacrosse Program and her first year as JV Head Coach.
Ellie grew up in Sterling where she played lacrosse at Dominion High School and was a Senior Captain in 2016. Ellie was recognized as a Brine All American selection for Washington D.C and played club lacrosse for Future Elite in Northern Va.
She played on the collegiate level at Christopher Newport University as a Midfielder and Defender. Ellie played until her junior year and graduated in 2020. While at CNU, She double majored in Psychology and Sociology with a concentration in Criminology. In 2022 she graduated from Seattle University with a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice.
Ellie has coached for 5 years with Pride and is currently the Head Coach of the 2025 White team. In addition to coaching at Pride, She also served as the Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach at the Madeira School in McLean in 2021.
Ellie lives in Alexandria and works as a project coordinator at the National Policing Institute which is a nonprofit focused on the pursuit of excellence in policing through science and innovation.

Molly started playing lacrosse since she was in 3rd grade and the sport has been such a big part of her life growing up. She was a defender at Chantilly High School where she played all 4 years and graduated in 2012. During her high school years she was involved running lacrosse camps. Molly went to college at Virginia Tech and majored in Political Science in 2016. She currently works at Society of Interventional Radiology and is thrilled to kick start her first season as JV Assistant Coach at Yorktown this Spring 2018.

Morgan Burns.

Biography:
Morgan grew up in Arlington where she started playing lacrosse in 3rd grade with Arlington Youth Lacrosse Club. She played 5 years for Washington-Liberty high school and was a senior captain in 2013. During that time, she also played club for SuperNoVa in Northern Virginia.
After high school, she played club level at Old Dominion University for 2 years as a defender. Morgan graduated from ODU with a B.S. Interdisciplinary Studies – Special Education in 2018 and began teaching in Arlington County. She later completed a master’s in curriculum & instruction and a master’s in special education from Radford University.
Currently, she is a kindergarten and 1st grade special education teacher at Campbell Elementary school. We are thrilled for Morgan to join our coaching staff in her first season at Yorktown this Spring 2024.
