Coach Hanson was named Washington Redskins Coach of the Week for October 22.  The press release was just issued last week and can be found at the following link.

This award comes with a $1,000 donation to the Yorktown football team.  This money will be used for additional weight room equipment for all students to enjoy the benefits of.

Yorktown will host a first-round playoff game on Friday, Nov. 9 at 7:30 pm.  Cost of admission will be $6 per person.

If Yorktown wins this Friday and on Nov. 9, the team will host another game on Friday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 pm.

Due to the inclement weather, the JV football game scheduled for Monday, Oct. 29 against Stuart has been cancelled.  It is unlikely it will be made up given the limited time remaining in the season.
