Coach Hanson was named Washington Redskins Coach of the Week for October 22.  The press release was just issued last week and can be found at the following link.

This award comes with a $1,000 donation to the Yorktown football team.  This money will be used for additional weight room equipment for all students to enjoy the benefits of.

Congratulations Coach on this well deserved recognition.

Yorktown will host a first-round playoff game on Friday, Nov. 9 at 7:30 pm.  Cost of admission will be $6 per person.

If Yorktown wins this Friday and on Nov. 9, the team will host another game on Friday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 pm.

The freshmen football game against TC Williams has been canceled for Monday, Oct. 29 due to the pending weather.  At this late date in the season, it is unlikely the game will be made up, but we will have updated information later in the week.

The next freshmen game is at home on Thursday against WL.
