Optional Volleyball Workouts Begin Friday, April 5 at 3:30 in gym

There will be optional volleyball workouts (green days) beginning Friday, April 5 in the gym at 3:30 pm. These will take place every Friday and are open to all interested students (8th graders are welcome).  Students must have a valid VHSL physical on file to participate.

Meet the new coach - Volleyball Interest Meeting - Thursday

There will be a meeting for all returning volleyball players on Thursday, March 21 in the cafeteria at 3;15 pm to meet the new coach and discuss skill sessions after spring break.

Yorktown to host Regional Volleyball Monday, Nov. 5

Yorktown will host a regional volleyball game against Centreville on Monday, Nov. 5 at 7 pm.  Cost of admission is $7 for adults and $3 for Yorktown students.  Come support the team.

If the team wins Monday night, Yorktown will host again on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 7 pm.

Yorktown to play in district championship at WL at 5:30 pm Friday, Nov. 2

Yorktown advanced to the district championship with a win over Hayfield. 

The championship game will be played at 5:30 pm at WL on Friday, Nov. 2.

Admission for adults is $6.  A special package is available for students of WL and Yorktown - $6 entry fee includes admission to the volleyball game and the WL-Yorktown football game.  Come support the girls as they go for the title.

Volleyball Tournament Schedule Set

The National District volleyball tournament has been rescheduled as follows:

Wednesday, Oct. 31

Mt. Vernon vs. Hayfield 5:30 pm at Yorktown

Yorktown vs. Wakefield 7:30 pm at Yorktown

Thursday, Nov. 1

Semifinals - at Yorktown if Yorktown wins on Wednesday

Finals will be held either Friday or Saturday depending on competing schools.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students.
