Wednesday, March 16, practice moved to Turf

The JV and V girls lacrosse practices for today have been moved to the stadium turf field from Bluemont.  Girls should arrive at 6 pm for 6:30 pm turf time.  Practice will conclude at 8:15 pm.

Sorry for the late notice but field time just became available.

Boys and Girls Lacroose to Practice at Bluemont

The boys and girls lacrosse teams will practice at Bluemont this year when they have practice which are not scheduled on the turf.  The teams will use the field closest to the tennis courts.

Saturday practices when not at Yorktown will continue to be at Jamestown.

JV girls lax game moved to April 28

The JV girls lacrosse game against George Mason has been moved from March 31 to April 28 at 6 pm per George Mason's request.

Girls Lax Pre-Season Activities (Green Days)

YHS Girls Lax Pre-Season starts next week!  As mentioned at the November Interest Meeting, we will be holding off-season skill sessions and conditioning on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays until tryouts start at the end of February.  All skill levels are welcome - we can teach you how to play if you've never played before!  

Schedule:
 
The schedule for December is as follows:
  
 Tuesday, December 1st:  5:30-7:00pm - Skill Session/Conditioning (meet on YHS field)
 
 Wednesday, December 2nd:  8:30-9:30pm - Weight Room 

 Thursday, December 3rd:  5:30-6:30pm - Conditioning (meet on track)
  
 Tuesday, December 8th:  5:30-7:00pm - Skill Session/Conditioning (meet on YHS field)
 
 Wednesday, December 9th:  8:30-9:30pm - Weight Room 

 Thursday, December 10th:  5:30-6:30pm - Conditioning (meet on track)
  
 Tuesday, December 15th:  5:30-7:00pm - Skill Session/Conditioning (meet on YHS field)
 
 Wednesday, December 16th:  8:30-9:30pm - Weight Room 

 Thursday, December 17th:  5:30-6:30pm - Conditioning (meet on track)
 
*We will not be holding skill sessions or conditioning the week of Christmas or the week of New Years.  We will resume Tuesday, January 5th*
 
*Please check your email daily, as our pre-season schedule is often modified last minute due to inclement weather.

  
Things to Bring:
 
***You must have a stick, lax goggles, and mouthguard to participate.  We have a limited number of sticks and goggles that we can provide if needed.  Players must provide their own mouthguard.  Please email Coach Fraser (crystal.morgan23@gmail.com) by Sunday, November 29th if you need to borrow a stick/goggles. Make sure you wear warm clothes - all sessions will be outside unless we have to move indoors due to inclement weather!  Bring layers, water, and cleats/running shoes.
  
***As stated in the handout given at Interest Meeting, you MUST have a VHSL physical on file with the school (not brought to the coaches at the sessions) to be able to participate in these off season activities.  Physical forms can be found here:

You will be turned away from pre-season activities if you do not have a physical on file!  Please check with Coach Fraser prior to December 1st if you are not sure if you have one.  8th graders must have a physical on file at Yorktown - if you have a physical at your middle school, it must be sent to YHS.  It is recommended that 8th graders confirm with the YHS Activities Office that you have all required forms on file.
