Students interested in trying out for any team must have a current year VHSL physical with the APS Co-Curricular consent agreement on file in the Yorktown Activities Office before attending.  Physicals can be submitted electronically to yhsphysicals@apsva.us or hand delivered.

Students should not attend tryouts if they are feeling ill regardless of vaccination status.  We are relying on students to be responsible and not potentially infect teammates so that we can proceed with a regular fall season.  Information on masks and COVID testing will be provided at an optional virtual parents meeting on Thursday, July 29 at 6:30 pm.  The link for the meeting is http://tiny.cc/65lauz

Please join Team App at www.teamapp.com and select “YHS-name of sport” under Pre-Season Training 2021 Fall.  Groups labeled 2020-21 are closed and from last spring’s “fall” season.

Ultimate frisbee is an intramural sport which practices twice a week on-site and competes against Wakefield, WL, HB and the Career Center.  The teams will have an 8 game schedule.

Students do not need a physical to compete but will be required to fill out an emergency care card.

Practices will begin the week of September 9 as follows:

Boys will practice Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:15-5:15 on the lower grass fields

Girls will practice Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:15-5:15 on the lower grass fields

Players can show up on the first day if they are interested.  No prior notification is needed and all Yorktown students in grades 9-12 are welcome.
