Spring sports (baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis, crew) begin on February 19 and track on February 26. Parents must complete the online Registration and upload their child’s required doctor's examination form by February 14th. Paper copies of the required doctor's examination form will not be accepted at tryouts.
The first day tryout information can be found here. Tryouts will continue for at least three days and often through the first full week. A tentative rectangular turf practice schedule for the first two weeks can be found here for soccer and lacrosse, however, this is subject to change and coaches will likely want players to arrive before the time scheduled on the turf or stay after for conditioning. Players should listen to announcements made by their coaches and on TeamApp. This schedule is provided as a courtesy for planning purposes only.
Please note that tryouts and practices will be held on school holidays such as Presidents’ Day (February 19th). Students can join www.teamapp.com for sport specific tryout information which will be posted as it becomes available.
Please make sure to register on the new athletic registration site before attending any off-season activities or tryouts (see information above).

Spring sports will begin on Monday, February 19 which is a school holiday. A more detailed tryout schedule will be released by February 1 but all sports except outdoor track should expect to have tryouts beginning Monday and continuing throughout the week.
In order to participate in tryouts or any off-season activities, students must be registered online. Paper VHSL physical forms are no longer accepted, however, the signed doctor's physical page must be uploaded as part of the online registration. Students who don't attend Yorktown (middle school, HB, ACC, etc) will need to email Mary Ann Mahan at maryann.mahan@apsva.us to be added to the registration system before registering online.
Families are encouraged to signup for Team App to receive sport-specific information as it becomes available.
